How Make Your Home Feel Like a Retreat

01. Serenity now.  Embrace neutrals, soft greens and pale  blues that evoke a sense of calm and serenity.

02. Use Rattan – Think baskets, trays, furniture, and wrapped accessories. Baskets are so versatile and come in various shapes and sizes – hold fruit, blankets, odds & ends, or simply display them on their own.

03. Bring nature inside with greenery & florals  – It doesn’t have to be an extravagant floral bouquet – fresh clippings from your yard or neighborhood work beautifully. A potted plant can also bring a breath of fresh air to any space.

04. Keep it Simple – Clean, clutter free spaces will make your home feel like a retreat. Go light, bright, and airy when it comes to your color palate for an extra relaxing feel.

05. Display a Game – checkers, chess or a nice looking board game or puzzle. Even a deck of cards makes for a comfortable and inviting atmosphere – and ready for a little fun!

06. Declutter and simplify – It’s important that you have a home for everything you own so that visual clutter isn’t piling up causing stress.  Simplify by keeping only what you love, use and need.
